The terracotta warriors
A dozen or so terracotta warriors with a couple of their horses have been hanging around the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. The warriors ride their horses up and down Market Street at night after the museum closes. These warriors are quiet; they do not interfere with San Francisco’s night life, but people out on the streets stare at them and take photographs.
Terracotta warriors Imagine if all the countries in the world had no armies, weapons or battleships. Imagine if all that time, energy and money that pays for armies and generals were put into health care, recreation centers, universities, libraries and fun. The United States spends approximately $610,000,000,000 each year on soldiers, generals, weapons, ships and planes. Imagine a better way to spend all this money.
